The Story
There are weddings you feel even before you start photographing. Ceren and Kerem's was like that. They come from Istanbul, an intense city, alive, full of contrasts. They sought elegance, silence, authenticity. Abruzzo welcomed them with a soft light and a suspended atmosphere.
The preparations took place in the castle's stone rooms. I captured everything in an essential way: hands adjusting the dress, buttons fastened slowly, a glance in the mirror that lasts a second but carries so much weight. When Ceren came down to the courtyard, Kerem turned around. First, amazement. Then, glistening eyes. That's when I shot.
The ceremony was intimate, with guests who came from Istanbul and from various parts of Europe. Different cultures, one single energy. At sunset we walked among the vineyards around the castle — slow steps, spontaneous laughter, a kiss on the forehead that came without thinking. In the evening the celebration erupted with Turkish music, Italian toasts, and hands raised under the warm lights.
A wedding is rhythm. Theirs was balance. Sweetness and character. Ceren and Kerem look at each other like two people who chose without hesitation. And that's what I wanted to tell.
