The Story

A morning suspended among the alleys of Orvieto

Sometimes stories begin by chance.

Ken and Thom, two Korean guys traveling in Italy, were planning their tour when they decided they wanted a real memory of their engagement. Searching on Instagram they came across my profile. One message, a few exchanges of ideas, and here we are.

They chose to come to my Orvieto. An early Saturday morning in September. Early, very early. When the city is still silent and the light is soft, clean, perfect for telling something intimate.

We met among the alleys leading to the Duomo of Orvieto, with the stones still cool from the night and the first bars raising their shutters. They walked hand in hand, smiling like two people who know they're in the right place at the right time.

Ken is more reflective, observant. Thom is pure energy — he leads, laughs, embraces. Together they have a natural balance. No big poses were needed. It was enough to let them talk, move, stop and look at each other.

On that suspended morning they promised each other love until the wedding. No audience, no noise. Just them, the September light, and a city that welcomed them as if it were home.

This is what I love about engagements. Two people, a story that begins to take shape, and a place that becomes part of their forever.
