The Story
There are stories that are born by chance. And then decide to stay. Sidorela and Ndrichim are of Albanian origin. They met in Paris by pure chance — same city, same moment, lives that until the day before ran on different tracks. A simple meeting, a glance that lasts a bit longer than expected, a conversation that doesn't end when it should. From there, everything began.
They didn't want an event. They wanted a moment. Just the two of them. No audience. No expectations. An intimate, real elopement. Sidorela got ready without rushing. Ndrichim waited for her with that restrained emotion you read in the eyes before even seeing it in the gestures. When they saw each other, they said nothing. They held each other tight.
I photographed hands reaching for each other. Deep breaths. Foreheads touching. They exchanged vows they had written themselves, with voices that trembled at times. They walked together as they always have. They stopped. They laughed. They looked at each other like someone who has found home in a person.
A wedding like this reminds you why you photograph. Not to document an event, but to preserve a bond. Sidorela and Ndrichim chose to celebrate their love in the most essential way possible. Just them. No noise. And in that silence, there was everything.
